I appreciate this space existing it is much needed for many youth that need the support. I value this space tremendously. The support I receive is always attentive when i come in physically. They are very kind once your speak to them and express your situation. I a appreciate the comfort and diversity in the space, welcoming all individuals no matter the race, gender, and sexual orientation. I didnt even know this place exist until a friend told me by word of mouth. Which can be a issue because so many more lost youth need a place like this but cannot find it.
I feel that the promotion of this place needs to be improved so more people can know about it and seek the services and expand their funding here because there presences is much needed and valued. I also believe that they need a bit more structure in creating a more smoother in and out take environment where there is a organized system for each person to be tended too separately. Not everyone will feel comfortable expressing their inner issues and might feel embarrassed saying there needs out loud in front of a communal room. The place need more funding for more staff so they aren’t overwhelmed by cases and crisis and having more accessible and flexible sleeping room that can be overnight if needed on specific days maybe… I love the staff vibes but sometimes some professionalism can create the environment to be more seamless and bring efficiency to the space. I hope to see more staff as sometimes the staff does not always answer emails or calls outside because they are overwhelmed with cases and others. Sometimes I cannot make the travel to come physically every time something comes up. Possibly offering a metro card to more people would be a additional support as well!

I come here before work to eat and get clothes and occasionally take a nap when I have time because it’s quieter and more comfortable here than in the city shelter I currently stay at.
I wish there were more designated quiet spaces for those with sensory issues/disabilities. I also wish it was open more than 5hrs a day because a whole half of the day it is unavailable

I often come here before work for clothes and food. I currently live in a city shelter in the Bronx so also I occasionally take a nap here because it’s quiet and the bed and blankets are more comfortable than the ones at by he shelter I currently stay at.
More designated spaces for those with sensory issues would be nice other than the sleeping room and I wish it was open more than 5hrs a day.

I was pursued by another participant and the staff told them to stop. The staff was aware of the space and what was happening. I felt safe.
The area was clean, the floors looked very clean, the blue seats looked clean as well. But the beige seating area looks like it is due for a deep clean.
There is a gender neutral bathroom. The clients and staff seem to be majority straight.
