My experience As a volunteer it was very bad. Ms. Jennifer must manage her ego and arrogance with her subarternos. he does not listen, he does not accept anyone's opinions, he does not give you the opportunity to learn. do not notice that you are doing the job well. He was very unrespectful and unprofessional calling me to the attention in public and not in private making you look ridiculous in front of the clients or the others. They should give you a personal supervision and management workshop. but in the end I think she wanted me to leave. the other volunteers feel the same but do not dare to say anything. she must handle her ego with others. Not everyone who volunteers is illiterate or unintelligent as she believes.

My experience when I come is pretty great I’ve been coming for over 10 years workers are pleasant and respectful

I'm received all services and they are going well for me.

They have very good respected 4 the people's lives

I feel good about the service they provide. They cook good, helped me with my birth certificate, and my non-driver's ID. THEY MET ALL MY NEEDS!!!

I love the bread of life I love helping out here. I did have an incident one day, my sandal fell apart and I wondered where should I go and I chose here and sure enough they asked me size I wear gave me a brand new pair of sandals. That was really wonderful. Joanne.

I was recommended here because they give food. It's a very nice place, it's pretty, I like the services. The first place I have ever been to that attended to me this way. They give me personal attention. They speak spanish. They help me with my language skills. Thank you.

We need more toilettries of those who are homeless. Men have this image. They need toilettries. I was in the shelter in 1995 and I caee out in the system. But things happen. But I know what it's like. We need more outreach toilettries companies to take care of them. I'm at the west side campaign against hunger. I volunteer sometimes Companies that vie them caseloads. Maybe we can get a grant for them, to boost up their morale a bit. Reach out to companies, get a grant going.

I used to come to the soup kitchen and pantry years ago and these services were very helpful to me at the time. Now that my situation has improved some I have the opportunity to volunteer at this lovely organization which provides much needed services to the community.

It's so beautiful, I love it. Then I found out I had a lot of really great book, because I had three children go to college. So I had boxes of amous books. And the lady in the library told me I could bring some books. I have some much stuff. When I come back this afternoon, I am going to bring some more. I think this place is just terrific.

Excellent service. I wish they could change the way how people come here and behave, but you can't change how people behave. But i wish here was something that they could do, because people are very disrespectful. Before they came here they were in another place. They were were very helpful. I love St. Johns.

In the year 1994, I was raising 5 children by myself. I was a single parent, and I was able to send them to parochial school which was St Therea's between Sterling plac eand at Frlanklin and Classon and I tried to save enough money sending my children to parochial school and saving enough to get an offer from the mayor which was Denkins to purchase a home. But as a I purchased a home, it required more finaicial help. And I fell into difficulties. I heard about St John's bread adn Life which was situatiated on Hart street and I explained to them mysituation. I was under arrears for $200. and they offer to help pay the bill. And they told me, If I could bring half the money. They took the 100 and they gave me a cheque from St. John's Bread of life to my account for Con Edison. And I was able able to pay my bill. And I was so grateful that they were there for me in my time of need. I can depend on them daily when they ar eopen for a meal. Breakfast, lunch, and if they give seconds, dinner.

My expirence at St John Bread of Life, has been very nice. The people are very friendly. I love the grocery program, and they allow us to receive mail here, also. And the staff, also a career program in a cooking class. I needed a clothing voucher, for winter clothes, and I got free clothes. They also, has a library, on the premises, where I can check my emails. I like the breakfast and lunch program they have.

My name is Mr. Griffin and I would like to say since I have been coming to St. Johns Bread & Life, my life have taken a turn for the better. Life with the benefit of Bread & LiFe has totally sky rocketed. I am greatful and thankful for St. Johns Bread & Life, because for the many opportunities that this facities provide I am truly bless. Ive been coming to the Bread of Life for some time and is pleased that they offer lots of services for alot of people. Iuse the services of my mailing address and the media room. I do from time to time eat what they have. The staff has always been great and Im blessed to say Ive given back to them as much as possible . I could honestly say I would recommend them to others.

I’ve known about St. John’s for a long time but recently started coming this year (2018). The staff here are very friendly and treat you like their own family. There’s many resources here such as help with food, financial assistance, housing and clothing. This organization is a big help to the community and elsewhere. Everyone is welcome here! Thank you for all that you’ve done and are still doing

I was treated like family I enjoyed the friendly staff I enjoyed my time spent here Monday through Friday they have great food and they have even better people

Great place, one of the best soup kitchens, they have a little of everything and give generously, but one problem is disrespect in the dining room between guests. If you want want Bread & Life to stay open have some respect for everybody that is here. If there’s a problem between anyone feel free to complain to the staff that is in charge instead of arguing and fighting and having police coming here. We need to change that for everyone’s sake. If these doors close you’ll be sure to miss it. For the staff - anyone who won't go by your rules, the next thing to do is ban them for a little while. gb
