So I did cove works for a bit in security training, also a mock interview for job practice. I love the fact that cove house offers free support for young people in need. I think that the program should be used in ads for people struggling in healthcare, housing, or education. Overall Cove House has really been there for me when I wanted to quit and showed more opportunities than I could guess.
I think the program should organize daily trips so that youth’s can all collectively engage in outdoor activities not only just pride hall.

Every thing went well, the food is good, they have many options and varieties every day. The clinic is very well as well.
They should allow fruits and juice on the floors. I’m a diabetic and the others day my sugar dropped really low and I had to go all the way downstairs for help because I had nothing to bring up my glucose. Also I believe it should be okay to bring in drinks or snacks that are freshly sealed. It’s understandable if it was bought and they opened it, because they could put anything in it. But security could also check if it’s closed and hasn’t been tampered with. I don’t think it should be a big deal to be honest because sometimes theres food here people can’t eat because of dietary restrictions.

They offered a lot of stuff, food , shelter, free doctor visits , events that always offer food and games , it’s actually a very great place to stay. I never expected it to be like this as an 18 year old.
My experience didn’t have any bad experiences or needed improvement to be honest .

My time at Convent came with unexpected blessings and quiet provision. I was able to receive clothes and food, which met both practical needs and emotional reassurance. The clothing helped restore a sense of dignity and self-expression, while the meals offered consistency and comfort. These moments reminded me that even in transitional spaces, God still provides through people, timing, and small acts of care. I’m grateful for what I received and how it helped me feel seen, covered, and supported.
One area that could be improved is the policy around food access within the building. Allowing residents to bring or store food would support basic dignity, personal health needs, and emotional comfort especially for those navigating unpredictable schedules or dietary restrictions. It would also reduce stress around meal timing and offer a sense of autonomy in a transitional space. Even small changes, like designated food safe areas or lockers, could make a big difference.

A lot of different services, on-site health services
emergency bed placement isn’t safe if your roommate is not safe. I have had multiple roommates threatened me and had to change rooms. Covenant House is also not open to discuss discussing alternate stay accommodations if needed for a health issue. furthermore, immigration legal issues are prioritized over anything else and there is only one attorney who is not very good. The food is not nutritious or filling. Most of the services honestly seem like decoration only, with the exception of allowing young adults to stay overnight in crowded, dirty spaces.

People here are very understanding and kind and the food is pretty good most of the time.
I think the curfew could be later as 9:30 sometimes doesn’t work for me.
Services Used: Clinic
Everything was great. I was having headaches and dizziness. They took care of me. After few days I felt good again. Thanks to the clinic department.
From my own experience I havent seen anything wrong all was well. Except the first time when I went to clinic the front desk lady was a little rude even tho I was barely standing on my legs, she was showing some attitudes instead of giving first aid she was filling some papers of different patients, while she could do that even after just letting me have a sit. By any ways probably she had not really good day and was out of mood, so all good. Thanks.

I liked how covenant house supported me, fed me and the staff were nice and helpful.
Some staff are overbearing and too strict, not understanding that Youth are just young people navigating life like how the once were. The food is not flexible, I was working for 3 weeks and did not get paid but they refused to bring me up lunch, and the dinners they pack are too starchy and lack protein, you really have to be physically present to make the right nutritional choices. A girl on my floor is gluten and lactose intolerant and they are just like ah well, deal with it, they don’t even let her have any kind of accommodation. Also breakfast should end at 10am and not 9am because 10am is when doors are locked.
