This location only provides legal services around housing issues for Bronx residents concerning eviction, nonpayment, and holdovers (the landlord wants to take back the apartment).

  • You should only contact them if you need representation concerning eviction, nonpayment, or holdover. Other matters are not being considered as the Legal Aid Society is over capacity. There is no guarantee they will be able to represent you. When you call the switchboard of the Legal Aid Society, your information will be taken, and you will receive a callback.
  Alternatively, you may attend your first court/hearing date, either virtually or in person, whichever is indicated, to attempt to get connected with a legal service provider. It is your right to have your case go through the Right to Counsel program to determine if you are eligible for representation or advice.
