  • All students are automatically considered for Student Health insurance, mandatory for people on student visas. Different campuses have different rates, plans, and copays. Please visit nyu.edu/students/health-and-wellness/student-health-insurance to waive, enroll, and view details.
  • You can still use the SHC services for free if you are uninsured as long as you are a student/employee
  • The counseling 24/7 line can be reached at (212) 443-9999
  • Urgent medical needs 24/7 line can be reached at (212) 443-1000
  • The psychiatrist's direct line can be called at (212) 998-4780 during the hours above for emergency refills (intake is required, and this service is available to students receiving mental health medications prescribed by The Center)
