If you are a NYC family with a child of age and are overwhelmed with the care of the child, you can receive a 24-hour to 3-day respite for that child, with a possibility of extension with a documented need or recommendation of a doctor for up to 21 days in total. You would need your ID, the child's birth certificate, and your health insurance in case of a medical emergency while in the facility.
