The HOPE Program (FKA Sustainable South Bronx)

• Virtual and in-person sessions are available; sign up online. Please bring a photo ID.
• After an info session, you can apply for:
 — HOPEworks is a seven-week program that helps participants succeed in the job market and navigate careers in various fields through cover letter and resume writing, computer skills, interview prep, basic math and English literacy, and workplace soft skills such as public speaking and conflict resolution.
 — Intervine is a ten-week transitional employment program that pays participants to engage in hands-on learning through green infrastructure projects across the city while learning critical job skills.
 — Sustainable South Bronx is a fourteen-week program that prepares job seekers for green infrastructure and maintenance careers through classroom-based learning, industry-recognized certifications, hands-on community greening projects, and job application skills.
 — NYC °CoolRoofs is a ten-week transitional employment program that pays participants to coat rooftops in a reflective material that reduces their energy output. Participants gain hands-on experience while helping to make New York City more sustainable.
 — Green and Clean HVAC Training is an eleven-week program preparing job seekers for careers in high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, with a focus on heat pumps and energy-efficient technology.

• Open Tuesday to Thursday 1 PM to 2 PM

• 
  • Be ready to participate in a full-time program and work full-time
  • Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No diploma or high school equivalency is required
  • Additional eligibility requirements may apply to specific programs

• Requires residency of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk or Westchester Counties
